DESCRIPTION

The project includes risk assessment in blocks 6 and 2D in Trinidad and Tobago and Venezuela, respectively.

The survey, executed by Incostas, consisted in carrying out high-resolution single-channel and multichannel geophysical and seismic acquisition, to detect shallow hazards that could interfere with the positioning of a jack-up platform, the installation of marine infrastructure and the risks associated with drilling activities, paying special attention to the first 200 m, where there are little or no protection mechanisms against gas blowouts.

The analysis of geological risks that could interfere with activity development as planned by the Client, was carried out by interpreting the following products: Bathymetric map, Side Scan Sonar mosaics, Sub-bottom profiler and HR2D digital seismic sections

SCOPE OF WORK

Information collected and interpreted about the irregular seafloor morphology, as well as shallow sub-bottom strata, indicated that area conditions for the location proposed for infrastructure installation are favorable. Sonar records show exhibit uniform reflectivity.

La prognosis de pozo permitió verificar la existencia de fallas visualizadas en el área en estudio, justo bajo la localización propuesta para la perforación exploratoria las condiciones del subsuelo no representan riesgo para la misma, por la distancia a la cual se encuentran.
