METOCEAN STUDY PROJECT MARISCAL SUCRE - PDVSA
Petróleos de Venezuela S.A. PDVSA
North of Paria, Venezuela
The Mariscal Sucre Project (PMS) comprises the exploitation of gas fields belonging to four fields: Rio Caribe, Patao, Mejillones and Dragón, located about 35 kilometers offshore, north of Paria Peninsula.
This study constituted an excellent opportunity for developing skills in the design, construction, deployment and operation of meteorological and oceanographic stations offshore, in depths much greater than the traditional scope of similar studies executed before in Venezuela.
SCOPE OF WORK
The scope of oceanographic and meteorological study carried out by Incostas included field data acquisition at several oceanographic stations in the PMS area, as well as in the zone close to Carupano Port in Sucre State, where an offshore operations support terminal will be developed in the future.
