DESCRIPTION
The project required currents profiles and
waves measurements in various locations. The
currents were measured
along the water column with submerged current meters in two modes: the first in the form of submerged arrangement, and the second in the form of anti-trace bases placed on the seabed.
For waves measurements, a moored
metocean 3-meter surface buoy was used.
This buoy included a satellite telemetry
system for real time data transmission.
SCOPE OF WORK
Physical Oceanography Measurements
Currents Profiles, Directional Waves, Tides, Temperature, Salinity and Turbidity.
Meteorological Measurements
Wind, Temperature, Pressure and Relative Humidity.
Studies
Processing, Analysis, Characterization of Currents Regime, Wind and Waves, Thermal and Haline Spatial variation.
Equipment
AXYS 3-Meter and Watchmaster oceanographic buoys with Inmarsat satellite telemetry. Nortek Continental 190 kHz long range ADCP stations installed in subsurface arrays and trawl resistant bottom moorings with acoustic release systems.
