DESCRIPTION
Studies and Measurements
Diagnosis of coastal morphodynamics. Calculation of the conditions of the swell. Application of the CORMIX heat diffusion mathematician model. Calculation of sand ingress in CWS catchment. Thermal boom dispersion study. Current measurements (Langranian and Eurelian). Simulation scenario. Application of the OUTREY mathematical model.
The purpose of this study was to optimize the location of the intake and the discharge of seawater.
The specific objectives were:
To Prevent recirculation of water coming from the discharge to the Intake. To Reduce the possibility to have a variation in water temperature greater than 3 º C. in a radius of 100 meters around the intake. Minimize sand income to the intake. Minimize the physical impact of the intake and discharge into the seabed sedimentary processes.
SCOPE OF WORK
Review background information of the physical parameters that influence the analysis and solutions, such as: Waves, tides, currents, seawater density and density gradients, seawater temperature and temperature gradients, etc.
Define the distribution of grain size characteristics of bottom sediments. Diagnosis of coastal morphodynamic in the sector. Calculations of resuspended bottom sediments by waves and currents. Mathematical modeling of heat diffusion and dispersion. Analysis of the impact on the sedimentary processes by the solutions proposed.
