DESCRIPTION
Carboncillo is the first artificial beach of Chile. Designed by Incostas. Consisting of a artificial resort of 400 meters long and 80 meters wide sand beach, reclaiming to the sea 8 thousand square meters areas of tourist facilities, public walkways and resort areas concessions.
Incostas developed the project to generate an artificial beach, with an expansion in the length of the beachfront, with a continuous sand bottom and adequate safety for swimmers. It was achieved, with the construction of new breakwaters North, South, and Submerged, the removal of bedrocks and filling with borrowed sand.
SCOPE OF WORK
Bathymetry, topographic rising,characterization of the beach and seabed, Euleriana currentometry. Study of the wave refraction with the Outray mathematical model. Design of excavation and dredging of contaminated sand. Beach geometry calculations. Structural and geometric design of breakwaters.
