sustainability

Our commitment to sustainability is expressed in the contribution we make to improving the quality of life for our team members, their families, communities, and the environment. We are always guided by ethical principles and adhere to current legislation.

Our sustainability strategy is based on the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and is founded on three dimensions: Economic, Social, and Environmental. This approach is closely linked to the quality of life of our employees. It also includes a commitment to local communities, business partners, suppliers, human rights, and the environment.

Economic

Our objective is to create value, and our corporate governance is based on the fundamental principles of transparency, accountability, and equality. We implement these principles through a long-term vision, effective risk management, responsible corporate control, and synergy among all stakeholders (partners, employees, community, clients, and suppliers).

Our Integrated Management System (IMS) includes policies and procedures to continuously measure, evaluate, and improve employee and client satisfaction. It also governs the selection and evaluation of our suppliers, who must ensure that their activities and processes conform to relevant standards, legislation, and international agreements on social responsibility. This commitment to management, collaborative work, and involvement in quality, safety, and the prevention of social and environmental risks guarantees a sustainable value chain.

We are committed to gender equity as a measure to combat poverty. We promote equal rights and opportunities, the incorporation of gender considerations in all areas of the organization, equal access and permanence in jobs, non-discrimination, and equal training and benefits.

Social

Our commitment starts with our people. At GIN, human capital is our most valuable resource, which is why we implement a social responsibility policy that is transversal to all our activities and operations. The criteria for the success of these practices include: Social Protection, Work-Life Balance, Occupational Health and Safety, and Training and Human Capital Development.

Work-Life Balance
Employee Well-being: We adhere to principles that guide our actions

Social Protection: We ensure improved working conditions and manage benefits that enhance social protection, including fair salaries and bonuses and compliance with legal regulations.
Work-Life Balance: We promote new ways of working that allow for a balance between family and work life, fostering an environment of equality and respect for diversity.
Occupational Health and Safety: We have an Health and Safety System, certified to  ISO 45001, which allows us to prevent and control risks and hazards that could lead to incidents, accidents, or occupational illnesses.
Training and Human Capital: We promote competency development, ensure continuous training, and foster teamwork and knowledge transfer among our employees.

Commitment to the Community

Our approach to community engagement is based on the following pillars:
We work to build strong, respectful relationships with the communities where we operate. These relationships are based on mutual trust, communication, and creating shared value. We aim to contribute to social development by maximizing the positive impacts of our activities while working to prevent and mitigate negative ones. From the earliest stages of each project, we identify and evaluate potential impacts on local communities.

We are dedicated to promoting the well-being of the local community through actions that may include:
• Promoting education, culture, and sports by collaborating with training centers, offering workshops and scholarships, and sponsoring cultural and sporting events.
• Improving the quality of life and environmental management through actions related to waste management, environmental sanitation, and sustainable resource management, always considering the real needs of each community.

Environmental

The pandemic has given us a new perspective on social, environmental, and governance risks. Conscious that the new normal brings new social challenges, we have taken action to minimize the pandemic’s impact, taking measures to protect the health of our employees, clients, suppliers, and the community.
